"When one tugs at a single thing in nature, one finds it attached to the rest of the world." This quote is often misattributed to John Muir; in fact there's no record that he ever said this; it appears to be paraphrased from a passage in his 1911 book, My First Summer in the Sierra. Nonetheless, I think it's a lovely and profound reminder about the infinite interconnectedness of our world.
